Trongsa Dzong is the longest dzong in Bhutan and is located in the middle of Bhutan, connecting the West with the East. Trongsa Dzong’s history goes back to 1543 and was built by the unifier of Bhutan, Ngawang Namgyal. Trongsa Dzong architecture is grand and it consists of a maze of courtyards, passageways and corridors and the complex contains as many as 25 temples.
